This is a difficult time for many of us at the moment as we are confined to our homes more than usual with many of us working from inappropriate chairs/desks etc, and home schooling adding to this problem as everyone struggles for a 'space.'
It's vital you stretch and strengthen your shoulders, back and core and it really doesn't take long for your posture to deteriorate into pain and joint stiffness if you're not exercising.
Some simple Pilates exercises and mobility can help with this and at the moment I'm teaching online.
The picture on the left shows a side lying exercise which is perfect for stabilising your back, engaging your core and stretching the shoulders.
At the moment I am offering a free 121 postural assessment on Zoom so give me a call if you would like to take advantage of this and I can suggest some exercises tailored for your postural concerns.
Getting out for a daily walk is also great for your physical and mental health too and even if it is raining you will feel great afterwards.
